We are having a race at Rosewood R/C Speedway On May 22th called the N.C. State On Road Challenge. The classes as of now will be, 1/10 nitro touring 17.5 touring Mod touring Mini Cooper There is the possibility of some other classes running as well, and I'll post up here as I hear back from drivers. If there is a class that you'd be interested in running, please let me know and I'm sure we can make it happen. We will have sponsors for the race along with the onsite hobby shop adding to the prizes as well. This will be a Trophy race, with trophies going to the winners in each class. We'll also have a raffle with kits and other prizes being awarded. I will post up more details when I get the race flyer. Entry fee will be $20.00 for the first class, $10.00 for additional classes. We have indoor pitting and plenty of room (and electricity) for outdoor pitting as well. Track is very easy to get to off of I95. The classes that will be run at Rosewood for indoor oval this season will be
VTA Mini cooper Legends Pan car Rules: VTA Novak 21.5 is the only legal brushless motor for the VTA class. If using a brushed motor, any ROAR legal 27 turn is allowed. All cars must run HPI VTA rims and tires with visible tread showing. Weight limit for all cars will be 1450 grams. Only muscle car bodies are legal in this class. There will be 3 options for motor and battery choices on the cars this season. Novak 21.5 using 2s lipo, ROAR legal 27 turn brushed motor using 4 cell nimh, and ROAR legal 27 turn brushed motor using 2s lipo. For cars using brushless and 2s lipo the gearing must be 4.2 - 4.6 FDR. For the cars running the other options a gearing rule has not been determined and will be up to the race director until a gear rule can be determined. Legends All cars chassis must be box stock. No modifications to the chassis are allowed. The rear axle is legal to change to a aftermarket one. All foam tires are legal. The only legal motor for this class is the spec motor. Two battery options are legal this season. 4 cell NIMH and the SMC 1s 25C lipo. Gearing rule for cars using NIMH batteries will be 81 tooth spur gear and a 20 tooth pinion gear. Cars using lipo will use 81 tooth spur gear and a 35 tooth pinion gear. Weight rule on this class has not yet been determined but will be announced at a later time. Mini Cooper All mini coopers will follow the Tamiya TCS rules. SUPERSTOCK "COT" 13.5 (1-cell) PRO STOCK 10.5 (1-cell) SPORTSMAN TRUCK 17.5 (1-cell) All pan car classes will follow T.O.U.R rules. Super stock - This class will feature a COT body as the class standard. 13.5 ROAR legal motors are allowed. 36 oz weight limit. Cars will run open tire rules. No limit on battery as long as it is 1s.
